Celebration of the Restored Eberle Fountain at Waveny House

Please join us on Thursday, May 4th from 6-8 PM at the Waveny House for the Celebration of the Restored Eberle Fountain. Reception followed by a lecture by Arianne Kolb, Ph.D “The Rediscovery and Restoration of Abastenia St. Leger Eberle’s Waveny Fountain.
This event will celebrate the restoration and re-installation of the Lotus Fountain in the formal gardens of Waveny Park. The lecture will examine the fountain of 1918 by the groundbreaking female sculptor Abastenia St. Leger Eberle within the context of her work and the patronage of Antoinette Lapham, who together with her husband Lewis commissioned the Olmsted Brothers’ and William B. Tubby’s design of Waveny.
Arianne Kolb, an art historian and curator, is a board member of the Waveny Park Conservancy, Co-Curator of Women of Waveny, and author of Waveny: New Canaan’s Treasure.
