For over 20 years, Village Critter Outfitters has supplied New Canaan pets with natural and organic food to stay healthy, while giving their owners (or “parents”) the materials needed to take care of their pets well. Their pet food, beds, cleaners, toys, and even outfits adorn the pet store walls, and are quickly sold to pet owners.
Shirleen Dubuque, the owner of Village Critter Outfitters, is a member of the Chamber board. She aspires to create programs that help New Canaan, which Dubuque believes is a unique town where the residents “strongly support local businesses.” Village Critter Outfitters has been faithful in helping the community, such as hosting a large fundraising an event for a local shelter. “New Canaan Dog Days” is a free pet festival and scavenger hunt, benefiting the PAWS Shelter. Village Critter Outfitters “strives to provide the best service and products for animals” while also maintaining and active role in New Canaan. Village Critter Outfitters not only helps New Canaan pets, but helps the town that they love.
