Pauline Dora, owner of Design Solutions, is a member of the Chamber of Commerce. Design Solutions has been thriving in New Canaan since 1994, and Pauline Dora was attracted to put her business in New Canaan because of the town’s low-key, village feel. As a merchant who cares about New Canaan, Pauline joined the Chamber of Commerce. Pauline joined the Chamber for many reasons, one being her admiration for Tucker Murphy, the executive director of the Chamber of Commerce. Pauline joined the Chamber not only for her appreciation of the director, but also to achieve her goal; Pauline says that all Chamber members “have the same goal: to shop locally”. Pauline and Design Solutions takes part in many New Canaan events, such as the New Canaan Sidewalk Sale. Pauline Dora and Design Solutions has helped New Canaan and the Chamber of Commerce by ameliorating New Canaan events, local shopping, and the spirit of New Canaanites.
