2015 Halloween Parade is ON!

The weather looks to clear out by Noon so please come meet us at the Park Street Parking lot behind Elm Street Today . The parade kicks off with a family party in the Park Street Parking lot at Noon. Come get your Free goody bag show off your costume and enjoy a performance by the School of Rock, get a balloon animal made for you courtesy of Toddlertime Nursery School, enter Venture Photography’s Best Dresses Contest The Parade starts promptly at One O’Clock and marches down Elm street where many merchants will be out in front of their stores offering sweet treats to the Trick or Treaters! Ghosts, goblins, fairy princesses and superheroes of all ages are invited to participate. Grandparents and residents are invited to cheer on the marchers and take lots of pictures of the various, sometimes wholly original, characters.

CARES Annual Kitchen and Home Tour

Join more than 650 tour-goers Thursday May 14th visiting stunning, distinct, and exclusive New Canaan homes showcasing the latest in kitchen and home design trends by nationally published designers. The Tour will include seven properties that vary greatly in style, size, and setting, but all share an uncompromising commitment to quality and innovative kitchen design. The Kitchen and Home Tour is CARES’ major fundraising event with nearly 85% of its proceeds directly supporting youth and faculty classroom instruction, after-school workshops and health promotion training.

Exchange Club of New Canaan Annual Tree & Wreath Sale

The annual Tree & Wreath sale begins on Saturday November 29th, it is
the Club’s largest fundraising event enabling grants of more than
$1,000,000 to twenty-two local charities over the past ten years. The
Exchange Club Parenting Skills Center in Stamford, whose mission is to
break the cycle of child abuse and neglect, is the largest beneficiary of
our fundraising efforts. The sale runs through December 22nd
Kiwanis Park is located at 77 Old Norwalk Road in New Canaan.

New Canaan Sewing Group’s Holiday Boutique

This annual event held on Friday November 21 @ 9:00 am – 3:00 pm features many one-of-a-kind handcrafted fashion and decorative items designed to make holiday gift giving and entertaining very special. All handcrafts are made by New Canaan Sewing Group members. A special feature of this year’s event will be beautiful hand knit “Winter Woolies” — hats, gloves, mittens, scarves and dog sweaters. Shoppers will also find their favorites such as gingerbread houses, doll clothes, needlepoint ornaments, infant and children’s hand knit sweaters and the very popular Gourmet Table.
