Make-A-Wish Connecticut is the only Make-A-Wish chapter in the state. Our mission is to grant life-changing wishes for children battling critical illnesses. We serve the entire state, including New Canaan. We currently have a pipeline of over 400 kids waiting to receive their wish due to Covid. With the average cost of wish being $10,000, we are looking for ways to get more involved in the communities we serve. We have two board members who are New Canaan residents, as well as multiple wish families who reside in the town. Our local constituents are all on board and aiming to help us get engaged within New Canaan as to bring more awareness to our mission and help us grant more wishes.
