Commercial Zoning Public Workshop

The Planning & Zoning (P&Z) Commission invites residents to attend a public workshop on proposed updates to New Canaan’s commercial zoning regulations on April 21 at 7:00 p.m. at Lapham Community Center.
The workshop will include a brief presentation on draft changes—covering topics such as parking, housing options in commercial areas, and business permitting processes—followed by small-group discussions to gather community feedback.
Input from this workshop will be incorporated into subsequent drafts with a target to adopt changes to this section of the regulations by July 1, 2026.
