Young Naturalist Science Club (Afterschool Program)

If you are interested in science and the natural world, this is the club for you! Chris Hendershot, Director of Education Programs for the New Canaan Nature Center, is fascinated by the questions that arise when exploring outside. This club will offer hands-on experiences by conducting experiments, citizen science projects, and just trying new theories! We will learn about bird species and the principles of flight, study how plants defend themselves, and help our environmental team gather facts and data that will be useful for ongoing nature studies.
Experience our “un-classroom” every Monday from 3:45-5:00pm at the nature center.
Program runs for 10 weeks starting January 9th 2017 until March 27th 2017 (we will not meet January 16th and February 20th).
