Yale Science Presents: Mastering the Code of Life: DNA & RNA Demystified

What are DNA and RNA? Embark on a journey through the world of nucleic acids- the molecules that encode life – with Yale PhD candidates Briana, Kerry, and Alexandra. Through their instruction and exploration, attendees will learn what DNA and RNA are, how they are processed, and the consequences of errors in this code on human health, including cancer and Alzheimer’s disease.

Yale Science Communication is an organization of graduate students and postdoctoral individuals passionate about science communication, education, and advocacy. They deliver talks on current topics in science, ranging from the microbiome to the feasibility of a real-life Jurassic Park. Their goal is to make science fun and accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds and provide people with a better understanding of the science underpinning many of the complex issues in the news every day.
