Ryan McAnnally-Linz, Associate Director, Yale Center for Faith and Culture, to Speak at Fully Alive Forum

Ryan McAnnally-Linz will be the next speaker in the popular Fully Alive series at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church on Sunday September 29 at 9AM. His topic will be Family. All are welcome to attend. McAnnally-Linz is the Associate Director of the Yale Center for Faith and Culture, co-author, with Miroslav Volf, of Public Faith in Action: How to Think Critically, Engage Wisely, and Vote with Integrity (Brazos, June 2016), and author of various scholarly and popular articles on systematic theology, political theology, and humanities education in modern theology, The Journal of Religion, Sojourners, and other periodicals. He manages research for the Theology of Joy and the Good Life Project and co-teaches the Center’s Life Worth Living seminar. Ryan began working at the Center in 2009, as a Master student at Yale Divinity School (MAR 2010), and continued throughout his doctoral program (PhD, Religious Studies 2016), working on projects including A Public Faith and Flourishing: Why We Need Religion in a Globalized World.
The series will feature a host of compelling speakers throughout the year who will explore the difference Christ makes in particular aspects of our lives, including family, work, money, sex, play, and more. Fully Alive will include other offerings throughout the year, including regular weekday classes, retreats, a special course for high schoolers, quiet days, and concerts.
