On Thursday April 25th the New Canaan Library is proud to host a special evening featuring top celebrity chef, restaurateur, and cookbook author, Lidia Bastianich. Ms. Bastianich will be speaking about her life and latest cookbook, Lidia’s: From Our Family Table to Yours, co-authored by her daughter Tanya Bastianich Manuali. In it, she shares the dishes she often cooks for those she loves the most, many inspired by her beloved mother. It includes a personal collection of more than a hundred favorite family recipes and anecdotes from this award-winning “doyenne of Italian cooking” as she was named by The New York Times.
The talk will be followed by a Q & A with the audience, after which Ms. Bastianich will sign copies of her book. Proceeds will benefit the Library’s Annual Fund which helps support all programs and services at the Library. General Admission and Benefactor tickets are available on the Library’s website. Benefactor tickets include an opportunity to meet Ms. Bastianich and share some Italian aperitivos.
