Battle of The Bands

Gates Restaurant is excited to announce it will be hosting a battle of local bands on Saturday, February 2nd from 8:30pm – where proceeds will benefit New Canaan Cares.
For the first round, each band will play 2 songs each and 1 band will then be eliminated by guest judges. During the second round the 3 bands will play 1 song and a band will be eliminated. Round 3 will see an epic battle take place between the 2 remaining bands – who will play the SAME song. Winners will be decided by the judges AND the AUDIENCE, who will vote via an app on their i-phones. The winning band can then choose to play some of their greatest songs.
The expert panel of judges who have been gathered for this fun occasion include: International Best Selling Author James Frey, ex Shazam CEO Rich Riley, ex Fox Radio Presenter and Caffeine & Carburetors Organizer Peter Bush (Bushman) and School of Rock mentor and musician Tyler Bernhardt.

The winners will receive a $400 cash prize. Runners up will receive $200 cash prize. New Canaan Cares Executive Director, Ellen Brezovsky commented: “I already have the event on my calendar and am looking forward to it.
