On Friday July 13th and Saturday July 14th the New Canaan Chamber of Commerce hosted the 53rd Annual Village Fair and Sidewalk Sales. Thousands of bargain hunters and their families came downtown for the fun! With over 100 participating merchants and vendors there was plenty of entertainment, food and of course, bargains galore for everyone! We’ve added a day for the “Early Bird Shopping” on Friday and from what we hear that it was a huge success.

The fair, like any other big event, takes months and months of planning. The Chamber would like to thank our lead sponsor; William Raveis Real Estate! Thanks also to People’s United Bank, Karl Chevrolet, New Canaan YMCA, Bankwell, NC Parking Dept., NC Police, NC Health Dept., New Canaan Advertiser and Newcanaanite.com for their support of the event.

A round of applause also goes out to the many folks and organizations that made this day possible including the New Canaan Chamber Board, the team of Karl Chevrolet, the New Canaan Town Band, and New Canaan Music. Last but not least we owe Mose Saccary, Tiger Mann and the crew at Public Works a huge amount of gratitude for all their help getting set up and for having downtown all cleaned up in little over an hour after the event was over.
