DESCRIPTION:Guided Tours of the Onera Foundation\nFeaturing current exhibition AMERICA ABROAD: Art\, Architecture\, and Diplomacy; Works from the FAPE Collection\nJoin a 45-minute guided visit to the Foundation and its current exhibition. \nThe tour introduces visitors to Onera Foundation\, its historic New Canaan home—an 1836 landmark once home to legendary editor Maxwell Perkins and listed on the National Register of Historic Places—and its mission and programs. \nThe visit includes a walk-through of AMERICA ABROAD: Art\, Architecture\, and Diplomacy\, featuring rarely seen works from the Foundation for Art and Preservation in Embassies (FAPE) Collection by Carmen Herrera\, Jasper Johns\, Ellsworth Kelly\, and many others. The exhibition also explores the evolution of American embassy architecture from the Cold War to today\, including New Canaan’s connections to this architectural history. \nTours are free. Space is limited and advance registration via Eventbrite is required.
