Since 1992 Thomas Throop has specialized in designing and building one of a kind furniture. Satisfying clients with unique and inspired designs made to the highest level of craftsmanship with the finest woods available. Each piece tells the story of a collaboration between design, process and material. Working closely with his clients, a dynamic dialog ensures an exceptional outcome.

Formal training in England opened Throop to the possibilities born of design and handcraft skills. While deeply rooted in the expression of the wood itself and time- honored craftsmanship of the past, Tom’s furniture is ultimately contemporary.

In addition to having pieces purchased for significant public and private collections, Throop has won numerous awards for his furniture. He has exhibited widely both in galleries and juried exhibitions in the US and England, contributed to several books and has been featured in many prominent magazines.
