Homegrown Harvest has helped many people in New Canaan begin a garden in their backyard. Their services includes consultation, planning, planting, installation, maintenance plans, garden sitting services, and garden accessories. Not only have they contributed to helping New Canaan gardens, but also has helped New Canaan through the Chamber of Commerce.
Christine Segalas, owner of Homegrown Harvest, says that “we joined the Chamber to become more a part of our town’s business community. As a new business, I thought it was important to utilize the town’s internal support system, aka the Chamber to help get our new business up a going”. Christine admires New Canaan for many reasons, but one interest is the events such as the Pop-up Park and Sidewalk Sale. As a new Chamber Member, she will participate in these events, which she looks forward to. “the Pop-up park and the Sidewalk Sale are wonderful ways for us to have the opportunity to get out in front of people, particularly since we don’t have a store front”. So far, Christine is happy to be in the Chamber because of the support she’s received for her young company.
