Are you a friendly, organized, and dedicated person who likes spending time with seniors? Staying Put in New Canaan, a nonprofit organization which helps seniors live safely in New Canaan as they grow older, is looking for a Manager of Events and Communications, which might be the right job for you.

Responsibilities include overseeing the development and execution of 60 events per year – cultural and social activities for seniors – as well as educational programs for the broader community. The job also includes managing the activities of 40 volunteers, and occasionally driving seniors to appointments or stopping by to provide some household help or just to pay a friendly visit. In addition, we are looking for a tech-savvy person who can expertly produce print and digital content, and who has experience with graphic design, database management, and social media.

The ideal candidate for this job is someone who has a commitment to excellence, works quickly and efficiently, thinks both independently and strategically, and enjoys taking an idea or project from start to finish. We are a small but mighty staff, so we also need someone who will not hesitate to step in for the team. Most importantly, candidates must love working with seniors!
