Job Description
Staying Put is seeking a part-time employee to coordinate all activities associated with the operations of the office.

Founded in 2008, Staying Put in New Canaan, Inc. is a member-based, volunteer-supported non-profit organization helping older New Canaan residents live confidently at home and stay engaged in the community by providing practical services and social connections.

Position is part time, approximately 24 hours per week (Mon-Thurs 9am to 2pm and Fri 9am to 1pm) in Staying Put’s New Canaan office. With occasional after-hours and weekend work in support of member events and community activities.

Candidates must have exceptional communication, management and organizational skills. The position reports to the Executive Director.

Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day in-house bookkeeping and collaborate with bookkeeper
• Assist with fundraising; including producing reports and lists, coordinating solicitation mailings and event sponsorship, and processing gift acknowledgement
• Manage the member dues collection process
• Manage and update Staying Put’s databases
• Manage Staying Put’s website and calendar
• Manage office logistics and administration (mailings/supplies/document retention)
• Manage service provider list with Director of Member Services
• Assist with special events

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree minimum
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn and use new platforms, fluent with QuickBooks, email, and Microsoft suite
• Exceptionally detail-oriented and organized, with strong time management to multi-task, and ability to prioritize and problem-solve
• Excellent inter-personal skills; a team player, good communicator and relationship-builder, with calm and patient demeanor and good judgment
• Familiarity with New Canaan a plus

Compensation
Salary is based on experience but expected to be approximately $20 to $22 per hour
