NC Dance Clinics x SHU Cheer to host Dance & Cheer Camp

New Canaan Dance Clinics, a dance and cheer program that offers youth clinics for both dance and cheer, has partnered with Sacred Heart University Cheerleading Team—5x National Champions based in Fairfield, CT, to co-lead a Dance & Cheer Summer Camp, running August 18–22. Expect a fun, skill-building week focused on both cheer and dance techniques for students entering Grades 1–6 (2025-2026 School Year) – geared towards all levels.

Sacred Heart University (SHU) is a Division I school known for its competitive athletics and spirited cheer program. Their program features elite skills in stunting, tumbling, jumps, and cheer performance—and they bring that same energy and spirit to our summer camp.

What campers can expect:

• Learn cheer motions, chants, jumps, and stunts from SHU Cheerleaders
• Practice dance team techniques—kick, pom, and choreography
• Watch live stunt demonstrations and join fun, team-building activities
• Groups will be divided by age and rotate daily between cheer and dance instruction
• Participate in combined group games and creative movement sessions
• Build confidence through movement and prepare for a final performance

Parents are welcome to attend a special performance at the end of the week to celebrate everything their camper has learned!
