Last Chance: Onera Foundation Inaugural Exhibitions

Onera Foundation’s two inaugural exhibitions exploring architecture, preservation, and cultural diplomacy, are on view through June 13, 2026, at Onera’s newly opened exhibition space in New Canaan.

Treaties on De-Fences by internationally recognized artist Jorge Otero-Pailos examines the preservation of the Eero Saarinen-designed Cold War-era U.S. Embassy in Oslo, Norway.  Presented concurrently, The Cold War-Era U.S. Embassy Program & Modern New Canaan highlights the midcentury embassies built in The Hague and Dublin by architects Marcel Breuer and John Johansen. The exhibition explores how these architects’ early experimental residential projects in New Canaan informed the modern architectural language later expressed in their embassy designs abroad.

Both exhibitions are free and open to the public Wednesday through Saturday, from 12 PM to 5 PM.
