A Conversation About New Canaan’s Invisible Crisis: Domestic Violence

New Canaan Library invites the community to an important conversation about New Canaan’s invisible crisis – domestic violence. Moderated by Dede Bartlett, founder of the New Canaan Abuse Prevention Partnership, the program will feature a panel of experts discussing an issue that affects our community and describing what needs to be done to make New Canaan a healthier and safer place for everyone.
The panel will feature Susanne Adam, Chief Executive Officer of the Domestic Violence Crisis Center, Dr. Andrew Gerber, President and Medical Director of Silver Hill Hospital, Michelle Horton, advocate and author of Dear Sister, the story of her sister’s abusive marriage and incarceration, and Connecticut State Representative, Tom O’Dea.
At the conclusion of the presentation, light refreshments will be provided.
