Join us as Tom Nissley presents the preservation history and the future of the house located on the corner of Canoe Hill Road and Ferris Hill Road that was recently saved from demolition by him and his wife Emily. Saved: An Iconic House takes place September 19th at 7:30 pm in the Lindstrom Room at The New Canaan Historical Society. Included will be: What one can do to preserve historic structures and what is an easement.
The house is haunted by the history of those who lived there: Hoyts, Burwells, Morses, Birdsalls, Carters, Benedicts, Boutons and Stevens. Residents whose names are found over and over again in papers and documents that comprise the history of New Canaan.
