The Carriage Barn Arts Center is presenting a special summer exhibit “The Flower Show” that features the work of 25 artists and highlights their creative interpretations of flowers and botanicals in contemporary environments.  Throughout history artists have been inspired by flowers and trees in pastoral and dramatic landscapes. At a time when we are focused on sustainability and finding a connection with nature and the outdoors, this show will highlight invited artists’ creative interpretation of flowers and botanicals in our contemporary environment.  All are welcome to attend the opening reception with the artists on Saturday, June 10 from 3-5pm. https://carriagebarn.org/the-flower-show/

On Friday, June 23 featured artist Christian Peltenburg-Brechneff will present a lecture and sign copies of his book “Into The Garden.”  In this book Peltenburg-Brechneff, who’s paintings appear in public and private collections worldwide including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, pays homage to the resplendent beauty of the garden and the visionaries who created them. “Into the Garden” invites readers to take an unprecedented around-the-world exploration into the splendor of tantalizing private gardens rendered through the artist’s vivid expressions and gestures in watercolor, oil, and gouache.
