Ted Bell, Introduces His Latest Thriller Overkill: An Alex Hawke Novel
May 1, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pmFree
New Canaan Library is pleased to welcome bestselling author Ted Bell, introducing Overkill – his tenth New York Times bestselling novel in the celebrated Alex Hawke series. The event will be held on Tuesday, May 1 at 6:30 p.m. in the Adrian Lamb Room. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event, courtesy of Elm Street Books. Please register for the talk online at newcanaanlibrary.org.
Promising to be one of the hottest page-turners this summer, Overkill sees the return of counterspy Alex Hawke, whose limits are tested in a do-or-die showdown with his erstwhile friend, and now lethal enemy, Vladimir Putin. In a battle that spans the globe from Siberia to Switzerland, from L.A. to London, from the Bahamas to Bermuda, Hawke races to find and rescue his young son, Alexei, who has mysteriously disappeared as a result of a terrifying and suspicious Christmas Day ski gondola accident in St. Moritz.
Theodore A. Bell has ten consecutive New York Times bestsellers to his credit: eight of the popular Alex Hawke series of spy thrillers published by HarperCollins and the young adult targeted time travel adventure series, NICK OF TIME and THE TIME PIRATE published by St. Martins Press. In addition to his 10th book in the Alex Hawke spy thriller series, Paramount Pictures is now in production with a feature-length film to be titled Hawke. The movie is based on the last Hawke thriller, PATRIOT and is slated for release in 2019. A native Floridian, Bell graduated from Randolph-Macon College in Virginia, holds an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degree from Kendall College in Michigan and is also an Adjunct Professor of English Literature at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida.
