In keeping with the Chamber’s mission of “Connecting The Community With Commerce” this Calendar was created to allow member businesses and New Canaan based non-profits to promote their upcoming events to the public. The Community Calendar is a local resource for all residents and visitors and has quickly become one of the most visited pages on the site. SMALL BUSINESS, BIG IDEAS: GROWING YOUR BUSINESS WITHOUT PITFALLS
May 2, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
New Canaan Library and the New Canaan Chamber of Commerce are pleased to present the latest “Small Business, Big Ideas” 4-week series, which launched in 2016 to target and answer the specific needs of small businesses, entrepreneurs and start-ups. Learn from those in the know, who also know the local business climate. Each presentation will be led by local professionals who have mastered the learning curve and found success. Each session will be followed by an interactive Q&A forum.
In this session, Belinda Wasser will discuss the biggest mistakes made by small businesses. All small businesses need to grow, especially those just starting out. Unfortunately, too many business owners focus on the wrong things, ignoring what really matters and wasting precious time and money in the process. In this fast-paced keynote, Belinda Wasser reveals – and offers suggestions for fixing – seven of the most common errors made by small business owners when trying to grow, including poor contact management; lack of investment in technology; how to work successfully with contractors and more.
