Police Chief to speak about “Conversations on Race” at First Presbyterian Church

September 28, 2016 @ 11:00 am - 7:30 pm

Free

The city of Charlotte has erupted in protest, some protestors turning to violence, following the shooting of a black man. The governor of North Carolina has declared a “state of emergency.” A black man in Tulsa was shot last Friday after his car broke down. Police officers have been targeted and killed in New York City, Dallas, and Baton Rouge.
Leon Krolikowski, the New Canaan chief of Police will be at First Presbyterian Church of New Canaan on Wednesday evening, September 28, to talk about these matters and more – how his own officers are coping, what sort of training is done locally for police on minority issues, community policing, and how his department stays connected to all the people it serves.
Community members are invited to join in the conversation at 7:30 in the church Common Room.

First Presbyterian Church of New Canaan is located at 178 Oenoke Ridge Road. Please call the church office at (203) 966-0002 or visited www.fpcnc.org for more information or to register for any of the church programs.
