In keeping with the Chamber’s mission of “Connecting The Community With Commerce” this Calendar was created to allow member businesses and New Canaan based non-profits to promote their upcoming events to the public. The Community Calendar is a local resource for all residents and visitors and has quickly become one of the most visited pages on the site. Events can be submitted via the link below and will be reviewed and posted within 24-48 hours.

Please join the NCPA on Sunday, May 15th for our Ninth Annual Preservation Awards! Selected by a jury of preservationists and board members of the Alliance, the winners will be presented certificates of honor. There are three categories of winners, the Committee’s Award for Rehabilitation, the Trustees’ Award for Preservation and the President’s Award for Preservation.
Beginning at 4:00 PM, the public will be welcomed to a reception at the New Canaan Country Club. A representative from Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation will present an update on the State of Preservation in Connecticut and New Canaan.
This year, there are five awards, for residences ranging from an eighteenth century Federal style house to a 1950s Mid-Century Modern house. A sixth Award, for Preservation, will be presented to the New Canaan Land Trust for its restoration of nearly 400 feet of stone walls on Land Trust parcels.
