New Canaan Library Presents: Dickens’ Classic A Christmas Carol

December 15, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

Experience Charles Dickens’ classic tale of hope like never before, in a dramatic retelling of A Christmas Carol by master storyteller Jonathan Kruk on Thursday, December 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the Library’s Adrian Lamb Room. The performance is open to the public but registration is required, online at newcanaanlibrary.org.

Described as “intrepid” by The New York Times and “thrilling” by The Wall Street Journal , Kruk engages audiences with a sonorous voice. In a velvet frock and top hat, he embodies every character in this lively, intimate solo performance. Every year his twenty performances of “A Christmas Carol” in Sleepy Hollow, New York rapidly sell out.

Jonathan Kruk, master storyteller, is well known in the metropolitan area for enchanting school children with story theater, entertaining adults with local lore, and entertaining all with dramatic retellings of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” and “A Christmas Carol.” Jonathan’s been featured on CBS Sunday Morning, Al-Jazeera America, The O’Reilly Factor, the National Geographic and History Channels.
