“Anything Goes” is a classical musical comedy which takes place in the 1930s and includes Cole Porter’s legendary music such as “De-Lovely”, “I Get a Kick Out of You”, “You’re the Top”, “Blow Gabriel Blow” and “Anything Goes”. Rousing dance routines and slapstick humor abound as the characters throw etiquette and convention out to sea in this farcical comedy that the whole family will enjoy.
The S. S. American is sailing between New York and England with a comically colorful cast of passengers: Reno Sweeney, a popular nightclub singer and former evangelist, her pal Billy Crocker, a lovelorn Wall Street broker who has come aboard to try to win the favor of his beloved Hope Harcourt (who is engaged to another passenger, Sir Evelyn Oakleigh), and the second-rate conman, Moonface Martin. With the help of some elaborate disguises and tap-dancing sailors, Reno and Moonface join forces to help Billy in his quest to win Hope’s heart.
