The Community Calendar is a local resource for all residents and visitors and has quickly become one of the most visited pages on the site. New Canaan Library’s March 2017 One Book New Canaan read of Lily King’s compelling novel Euphoria was inspired by events in the life of revolutionary anthropologist Margaret Mead. As the month long series of discussions and events draws to a close, the Library is honored and pleased to announce that award-winning author Lily King will visit the Library as part of an evening celebration. Join Ms. King on Tuesday, March 21 at 6:30 p.m. for a lively evening of conversation, food and wine at a festive, Papua New Guinea-inspired cocktail hour.
Lily King grew up in Massachusetts and received her B.A. in English Literature from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her M.A. in Creative Writing from Syracuse University. Lily is the recipient of a MacDowell Fellowship and Whiting Writer’s Award.
