Landscape Architect Keith Simpson Outlines Waveny Park Restoration

“Waveny Park Conservancy: For New Canaan Forever” will be the exciting topic of noted landscape architect Keith Simpson’s presentation at the meeting of New Canaan Beautification League on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 10AM at the New Canaan Nature Center. This event is open to the public with coffee social beginning at 9:30AM.
Waveny Park Conservancy was founded in 2015 with a vision of restoring and preserving our unique park in partnership with the town of New Canaan. Simpson will trace the fascinating history of the Waveny gardens from landscape architect Fredrick Law Olmstead, Jr. to present, including recent projects undertaken, and outline impressive plans for future restoration. Olmstead designed Waveny Park as well as New York City’s Central Park.
So shake off the January chill, and be warmed by Keith Simpson’s illuminating talk about Waveny Park’s past, present and future.
