Internationally collected artists Kimerlee Curyl and Jason Young are dedicated to their craft. Young’s art-making process requires ample space, special safety gear and equipment, chemistry, and time. Curyl travels to remote areas of Utah, Wyoming, and South Dakota – trekking through snow, wind, rain – to capture wild horses roaming free, while simultaneously inspiring and aiding wild horse protection programs.

Influenced by his study at the Sorbonne and the Institute des Hautes Etudes en Arts Plastiques in Paris, New York City artist Jason Young continues to challenge himself by experimenting with intricate and daring materials. Resin, urethane, metals, and automotive lacquer transform his traditional art training in to high-tech, minimalist ‘trompe l’oeuil’. His painting ‘Lacoste L’ete’ immortalizes France’s lavender fields. Rich, decadent violet cascades across a reflective, foil-like surface. Young’s work can be seen in the lobbies of Robert A.M. Stern Architects, The Ritz-Carlton Battery Park, and the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills.

Kimerlee Curyl lives in Santa Ynez, CA with two horses: a paint mare named Sequoia and an adopted wild mustang, el Regalo. Being mostly self-taught, her beautifully presented, limited edition horse photography reflects her passion for depicting wild horses and preserving their natural environment. The allure of rugged terrain, the challenge of finding wild horses, and the patience required to gain their trust is ‘oxygen to her soul’. ‘Stand by Me’ is a portrait of two mustangs against a midnight backdrop. The camera focuses on one of the horses’ eyes… beautifully open and aware. Curyl’s photographs have been used in numerous ad campaigns and she is represented by one of the country’s largest fine art publishers.
