A wonderful way to experience tech free family time is to work together in service to those in need.  There are several advocacy organizations that work with children in crisis (Norwalk Dept. of Children and Families, Breakthrough Options, Thorpe Family Residence).  Why not take on this project as a family to provide an Easter Basket for these children in crisis who are precious peeps.  This is an at home family activity organized by St. Aloysius.

Each family is asked to use a 12″ in diameter Easter Basket and fill it with the following items.  Wrap it in cellophane and tie it with a festive ribbon.  Then, bring your basket to the Tudor House (30 Maple Street) at St. Aloysius Catholic Church on Sunday, April 7 between the hours of 9am – 6pm.

Your Basket Should Include …

Easter Basket (12 inches in diameter)

Grass for bottom of basket (any color)

Coloring book (unisex)

Box of 24 crayons

Small stuffed animal (unisex)

Playdoh ( individual container)

Small unisex game/toy (ie..jump rope, paddle ball game, playing cards, go-fish, small puzzle)

Bubbles

Child’s unisex toothbrush and toothpaste

Food/candy (nut free)

Chocolate bunny (6inches tall)

Peeps (1 box any color)

Pre-packages Easter Candy (ie…mini Cadbury Easter eggs, m&ms, jellybeans, gummy bears)

Individual packaged snack (ie…teddy grams, gummies, pretzels)

Small Applesauce cup or squeeze pack
