Join Nod Hill Brewery at Gates Restaurant in New Canaan, CT, on Thursday, October 17th, for an exceptional beer dinner. Come enjoy an evening with two of the finest food and beer masters in Fairfield County teaming up to provide a unique and extraordinary five-course dinner. Each dish will be expertly paired to complement one of Nod Hill’s five small-batch brews.
This event is the perfect opportunity for the connoisseur in all of us to take their tasting experiences to the next level!
Gates Head Chef Luis Lopez and Nod Hill Founding Partner Robert Kaye will be on hand to speak about each of the food/beer pairings. Lopez, who owned and served as head chef of highly regarded Chef Luis restaurant in New Canaan, once described his style as “mutt” cooking for its unique and passionate blending of cuisines such as American, Asian, French, Italian and native Latin American. Kaye, who one half of the Father-Son team that owns Ridgefield CT’s first ever brewery, has deep passion for beer and food. He strives to go above & beyond in offering outstanding, personalized service to anyone who walks into their taproom.
They’ll each talk about the how and why they made their ingredient and course selections, what types of flavors to look for, whether they chose the beer to contrast or complement the food, and alternative options that could have paired as well.
