In keeping with the Chamber’s mission of “Connecting The Community With Commerce” this Calendar was created to allow member businesses and New Canaan based non-profits to promote their upcoming events to the public. The Community Calendar is a local resource for all residents and visitors and has quickly become one of the most visited pages on the site. Events can be submitted via the link below and will be reviewed and posted within 24-48 hours.

“Adopt” a plot in our community garden for the growing season (May-November)! Our community garden provides a shared space in which local residents can tend a plot of land, learn together, and share in an appreciation of the outdoors and gardening. Each 3×3 foot plot is located within a fenced-in area near the Herb Garden and all participants will have access to tools, watering facilities, and community guidance. The perfect opportunity for novices and experienced gardeners, alike!
The program begins with the Community Garden Kickoff Event at 1pm on Saturday, March 19th. Gardeners will come together to meet one another, select a plot, and begin their plantings. Following the kickoff, gardeners will be required to attend 2 Pitch-In Days to help with maintaining the garden throughout the season. At the end of the season, gardeners are invited to a celebration Pot-Luck dinner (date is TBD) where all are encouraged to share a dish comprised of the produce grown throughout the year.
