Bestselling Author Nelson DeMille, and Son Alex DeMille, Peak about Their Latest Thriller The Deserter

New Canaan Library presents a special evening with #1 New York Times bestselling author Nelson DeMille and his son, screenwriter Alex DeMille, introducing their just released thriller The Deserter. Due to the anticipated audience size, the event will be held at Woodway Country Club, Darien, Connecticut, on Wednesday, October 25 from 6:30 – 8 pm. The authors’ talk will be followed by a Q & A. The event is presented in partnership with Simon & Schuster. Those who register for the event before October 25th may bring their registration confirmation to Elm Street Books for a 10% discount on The Deserter at the bookstore or at the event. ALEX DeMILLE is a writer, director, and film editor. He grew up on Long Island and received a BA from Yale University and an MFA in film directing from UCLA. His films and screenplays have won multiple awards and fellowships, including his film The Absence, which was awarded Best Film at Comic-Con in 2012. He has edited numerous commercials, shorts, and independent feature films, among them My Nephew Emmett, which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short in 2018. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and daughter. The Deserter is his debut novel.
