Bernie Swain, Author of What Made Me Who I Am and Founder of Washington Speakers Bureau, to Speak at New Canaan Library

New Canaan Library is pleased to welcome Bernie Swain, introducing What Made Me Who I Am, his recently released compilation of life essays from well known individuals and leaders. The event will take place in the Adrian Lamb Room on Monday, December 5 at 6:30 p.m. Copies of the book will be available for purchase, courtesy of Elm Street Books.

As a legend in the lecture industry and one of the founders of the prestigious Washington Speakers Bureau, Bernie Swain is uniquely suited to write a book that offers insight into the motivations that drove a generation of great leaders, while also offering inspiration to rising generations. What Made Me Who I Am is a valuable, moving compilation of 34 stories from some of our most respected leaders and public figures across a wide spectrum, detailing the moments and decisions that shaped their lives and destinations while also offering wisdom and inspiration. From Doris Kearns Goodwin to Colin Powell, Terry Bradshaw to Tom Brokaw, and Tony Blair to Dave Barry, Swain illuminates the watershed moments behind each individual that defined their directions and shaped their characters.
