The Community Calendar is a local resource for all residents and visitors and has quickly become one of the most visited pages on the site. An Extraordinary Night Planned for Step into Summer on June 1st
June 1, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm$150
Join the fun at the New Canaan Museum & Historical Society’s Step into Summer party on Saturday, June 1st from 6:00-10:00 pm. Among the activities will be a whiskey and scotch barrel-brewed beer tasting in New Canaan’s first licensed tavern located in the 1764 Hanford Silliman House. Under the tent, there will be live music by DogHouse, festive food catered by Libby Cooke, and signature drinks.
Guests are welcome to preview Shoes, an exhibition in The Bishop Gallery of 200 pairs of shoes from the Museum’s extensive clothing and textile collection. Also, on display is Constance Old—The Art of Consumer Detritus, showcasing artwork from repurposed materials using traditional weaving skills.
