ALL OUT FOR AUTISM 5k WALK/RUN

The idea was spawned in 2009 by Ron and Tina Rosenfeld who were surprised at the number of individuals with Autism who came into the store. In their ongoing efforts to give back to the community, Ron and Tina and SPED*Net saw an opportunity to extend their mission of health and fitness into the community. In August 2009, the first race was successfully held. Ron and Tina have a long history of promoting health and fitness in the community. As owners of the Athletes Foot on Summer Street in Stamford for the past 25 years, they have sponsored many fundraisers, including Wheelchair Athletes. Their efforts have been instrumental in raising awareness and money for a variety of organizations.
Eighth Annual 5k walk/run for Autism

Course: Through downtown New Canaan
Proceeds: New Canaan YMCA Special Needs Programs.
Events: 6:15 PM Kids Race
6:30 PM: 5k race for everyone
