A Revolution of Her Own!

March 31, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$20 – $75

Join us as we celebrate Women’s History Month with this captivating performance by Judith Kalaora, Founder and Artistic Director of History at Play. She portrays Deborah Sampson from her arduous upbringing, through her one and a half years of active combat, and success as the country’s first female professional soldier. This is accomplished through interactive stories while garbed in authentic colonial attire.

Meet other history buffs at a cocktail reception at 6:00 pm before the 7:00 pm performance. Enjoy an array of appetizers catered by Fabulous Feasts. Rumor has it that there will be a revolutionary cocktail for all who wish to imbibe!

Admission is $75 per person in support of The New Canaan Historical Society Preservation Fund. Fifty percent of the ticket price is tax deductible. There is a special student admission of $20 per student covering the performance only. Space is limited so call for reservations (203) 966-1776, or send your check to The New Canaan Historical Society at 13 Oenoke Ridge, New Canaan, CT 06840.
