In Chamber Events

The Chamber hosted a successful  two day “So Long  Summer Sale” on Friday, August 21st and Saturday, August 22nd on Elm and Forest Streets. The goal of the event was to replace the Village Fair and Sidewalk Sale that is traditionally held on the second Saturday in July. In order to make it a safe event for shoppers and store employees the “village fair” portion of the event was eliminated so there were no bands, food trucks or kiddie attractions. The event was held over two days to reduce crowd size and vendor capacity was reduced buy over 50%.

Both Elm and Forest were closed to vehicular traffic on both days of the Sale allowing for a pedestrian friendly and socially distant Event.  We were so pleased to see 100% Mask compliance form shoppers! The Sale which coincided with CT Tax Free Week focused on New Canaan based retailers and shoppers were excited to find a great variety of bargains.
