The New Canaan Historical Society 16th Annual Valentine Tea

The New Canaan Historical Society is hosting its 16th Annual Valentine Tea on Tuesday, February 14, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. There will be two tea sittings: At 1:00 and 3:00 pm. At 2:00 pm, Ellen Taylor Sisson, New Canaanite and talented soprano, will entertain with her renditions of favorite love songs.

Building Family Resilience in a World of Booze, Bongs, and Benzos

Join us on Wednesday February 8th at 7:00 pm for practical strategies for kids and parents to combat the rise in underage drinking, pot smoking and prescription drug abuse. The event will be held in the New Canaan Town Hall Meeting Room and is sponsored by New Canaan League of Women Voters, New Canaan Health and Human Services as well as Silver Hill Hospital.

Sarah Chayes “The Dangers of Corruption, Abroad and at Home”

New Canaan Library and the UN Committee of New Canaan are pleased to announce that Sarah Chayes, Senior Fellow in Carnegie’s Democracy and Rule of Law Program and author of Thieves of State: Why Corruption Threatens Global Security, is guest speaker for the 10th Annual Anita Houston Lecture.
The lecture will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Library’s Adrian Lamb Room.
