Opening Weekend at Grace Farms October 9th & 10th

The Community is invited to attend the Opening Weekend at Grace Farms. Discover Grace Farms and support the launch of our justice initiative.

Friday Night guests will have the opportunity to explore the open landscape and new SANAA-designed River building at sunset, followed by a live concert featuring the folk/soul/pop star Aloe Blacc! Tickets for the Friday Evening Concert start at $75.

On Saturday join us for a fun-filled day where visitors will have the chance to explore 80-acres of rolling grounds, the critically-acclaimed River building, and new contemporary art installations! Don’t miss this opening featuring a community barbeque, family activities, talks, performances, screenings, workshops, readings, and more! The Grounds will be open from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm and admission is Registration is preferred, but not required. Please consider donating non-perishable items to the New Canaan Food Pantry drive. New Canaan Nature Center Harvest Festival

Join us for Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 3 from 7:00-10:00 P.M.

Bring your friends and join us as we sample a variety of beers, wine and gluten free beer this year. There will be regional brewers, delicious food and live music by Jazzholes under tents and in the meadow at the New Canaan Nature Center.

Adults 21+ ONLY. $65 in advance/$80 at the door

2015 Halloween Parade is ON!

The weather looks to clear out by Noon so please come meet us at the Park Street Parking lot behind Elm Street Today . The parade kicks off with a family party in the Park Street Parking lot at Noon. Come get your Free goody bag show off your costume and enjoy a performance by the School of Rock, get a balloon animal made for you courtesy of Toddlertime Nursery School, enter Venture Photography’s Best Dresses Contest The Parade starts promptly at One O’Clock and marches down Elm street where many merchants will be out in front of their stores offering sweet treats to the Trick or Treaters! Ghosts, goblins, fairy princesses and superheroes of all ages are invited to participate. Grandparents and residents are invited to cheer on the marchers and take lots of pictures of the various, sometimes wholly original, characters.

Rotary Club of New Canaan Presents the 30th Annual New Canaan Lobster Fest

Mark your calendar for the 2015 Rotary Club of New Canaan Lobsterfest …. September 25th & 26th. The annual Lobsterfest is the Rotary Club of New Canaan’s principal fundraiser each fall. During the two day event, club members, their spouses and children, and a high school boys service club, prepare and serve over 1,200 lobster dinners under a tent on the grounds of the New Canaan Historical Society. The proceeds provide a majority of the funds used for the Club’s annual Grants awarded each spring. Tickets are $35 in Advance and $40 at the Door. Lobster dinner consists of 1-1/4lb lobster, corn on the cob, fresh roll, coleslaw, coffee or soft drink, fruit and homemade baked goods. Beer & Wine, and takeout available! Hot dog or chicken dinner and fun activities are available for the Kids.

The Rotary Club Lobsterfest has grown into an Annual New Canaan Tradition….. we hope you make plans to join us this year!

Hands for Life

COME BE A PART OF IT

We are about to revolutionize the training and performance of CPR in our communities.

Hands For Life is a free CPR training event that can teach anyone to be a lifesaver. Since its inception in 2009 we have trained nearly 10,000 people in Stamford, New Canaan, Darien and the surrounding communities, including our World Record setting event in 2012. We are now gearing up for our most ambitious event ever.

On September 26th we plan to train over 10,000 people! Everyone is invited. This event is being spearheaded by The City of Stamford and Stamford Hospital. The Event Will take place at Westhill High School from 9:00 am – 3:00pm
