Cares – 22nd Annual Kitchen and Home Tour

Come out, have fun, support New Canaan CARES
Join more than 650 tour-goers visiting stunning, distinct, and exclusive New Canaan homes showcasing the latest in kitchen and home design trends by nationally published designers. The Tour will include seven homes that vary greatly in style, size, and setting, but all share an uncompromising commitment to quality and innovative kitchen design. The Kitchen and Home Tour is CARES’ major fundraising event with nearly 85% of its proceeds directly supporting youth and faculty classroom instruction, after-school workshops and health promotion training.

Red Cross Blood Drive at the Outback

Your blood and platelet donation is needed more than you know for many hospital patients who are battling life threatening injuries and illnesses.
The Outback has the opportunity to host the Red Cross Blood Drive on Saturday May 3, 2014. The hours are from 8am-1pm. All Residents are welcome to donate blood. The Outback is also making this blood drive more Teen-centric for youth 17 years and older. To make an appointment please call:

Boy Scout Troop 70 Annual Tag Sale

April 26 @ 9:00 am – 3:00 pm | $10 for early admission 8am-9am

St. Aloysius Schoool Gym 33 South Avenue

The tag sale is Troop 70’s largest fundraiser and community service project. This annual event historically has brought all boy scouts and families together to raise money for year-round troop activities, build a fund for charitable giving, and give those in the surrounding communities an opportunity to purchase special items at great prices.

Art in the Windows

We are pleased to announce the Seventh Annual Art in the Windows exhibition organized by the Carriage Barn Arts Center (CBAC), the New Canaan Chamber of Commerce (NCCC) and local artists. This display showcases artwork by local artists in New Canaan store windows. The art will be juried by the Co-Directors of CBAC and the Chair of Art in the Windows. The purpose of the exhibit is to promote artistic talent in the town center while increasing customer sales for merchants. This collaboration exemplifies the power of partnership between artists, merchants and non-profits (CBAC and NCCC).

Art will be displayed in store windows from May 22nd through June 8th, 2014. This year we will be kicking off the event with an Inaugural Art Stroll on Thursday, May 22nd, from 6 – 8 pm.
